Muchas gracias.  :)

Me alegra saber que has disfrutado del juego y te agradezco mucho que lo hayas jugado.

hey zeddy i loved the game and it gave me chills but the most best thing about the game is the smiles on the customers faces if you read this i would love to see someone like you make a backrooms game p.s i hope to see it

That's so great to hear, and I'm glad you've enjoyed the game!  :)

While I wouldn't be opposed to a backrooms type game, that's a muddy area when it comes to copyright and such, so I'd rather just avoid it for now.

But, that might change at some point in the future, so you never know.

How do I get in the game I just get the files?

Once you download the ZIP file from the game page, you'll need to extract it.

After you've extracted the files, just click on the BewareTheShadowcatcher application.

It's usually the third file in the folder, by default.

Let me know if you're still having issues.  :)

Not gonna lie man, I see a ton of potential in game developers like you. I really enjoy short horror games like these and I also like your specific style of games,  just like the Man from the Window.

Thank you very much!

I'll do my best to make sure I can eventually realize my full potential.  :)

(+1)

I love this game thanks for creating I always play it great job:)

Thanks!

Glad to hear that this game works for you.

i love you zed

You're too kind! <3

this is the most yummiest food in all itch.io

you did well good job

(1 edit)

That's very kind of you to say! Thank you.   :)

(+1)

love it

Thank you!  :)

(+1)

Is there more than one star to get?

great game though

It's great to hear you've liked the game.  :)

And yes, there is. Slight spoiler warning here!

There's a star for the normal ending, and a star for the good ending!

(1 edit) (+1)

i really like how you cook in a certain time because it makes it scary and makes me have some anxiety

Glad to hear you liked that part!

Also, thanks for playing.  :)

(+1)

have a idea for a  new game what if you make a game that is conected to the man in the window but you can play as the mom at her work

i would like to see that

(+3)

i really like the game and its atmosphere but i wanna ask one thing can you make an endless mode so we can enjoy cooking and hiding anytime we want like when the game ends you cant do anything and i really liked the cooking addition and please make this idea come true! i belive in you and the next games you will make

(+1)

Glad to hear you like the game!
A sort of "endless mode"  idea has been brought up before.
Something similar was actually planned to be in this game, but the idea was scrapped in the end.

While I'm not opposed to such a mode, I usually don't believe in updating my already released games with new content.

On top of this, there are other things I'm currently working on at the moment, so it seems that for now the idea is on hold.

I appreciate your interest, though.  Thank you. :)

(+1)

thank you! now i know it is on hold and it will (may) come eventually!

how can i open the actual game file to play the game

(1 edit)

First, download the ZIP file.

Then, you'll need to extract the files. This is done by right clicking the downloaded ZIP file, then selecting "Extract All..."

After you extract the ZIP file, click on the BewareTheShadowcatcher application, which is usually the third file in the folder by default.

That should be it.
And again, this is all assuming you're using Windows.

(+1)

i love the game and can't wait for the next game.

That's wonderful to hear!

And thank you for playing, as well.  :)

(+1)

I originally played the man in the window and loved it. I did feel short and a bit easy now looking back at it. Well, this game took to a whole new level. The difficulty was definitely ramped up. The normal mode is perfect because not only do you have to hide you also have to figure out what the people want to eat but also make it! So much going on and it felt like the perfect length. Great job! Overall a great game

Thank you very, very much!

I'm glad you liked the game, it really means a lot.

Thanks for playing.  :)

(+1)

holy that was a pretty good game i finished it with normal mode. keep on making this stuff.

Thank you very much, and thank you for playing!

I have more projects planned for the future, hopefully I'll be able to live up to expectations for those as well.  :)

(+1)

hey Zed Technician are you going to make any more of games like these if so, I would gladly play them!

There are many more games that I plan to make.

Perhaps not exactly like this, but all of my games should be within the same vein of sorts.

So hopefully you'll stick around, and hopefully you'll like what's on the horizon.  :)

(+1)

Amazing! Loved everything, especially the ending :)

(+1)

Thank you!

Your comment is very much appreciated, and I'm especially glad you've liked the ending.  :)

(+1)

I love the atmosphere of your games man its so unsettling

(+1)

Thank you! It's nice when someone appreciates the atmosphere.

Sound design isn't my forte, but I'm doing what I can to improve.  :)

(+1)

Really good game. I liked the concept.

Thank you very much!

And thanks for playing, as well.  :)

(1 edit)

This game is amazing with an ending that I really wanna get with good graphics but what happened to The Bit more know

(+1)

Good to hear you like this one! Thank you.

As for TBMK1, I've restricted access to it because I'm just not happy with it anymore.

Being my first game it has it's fair share of issues, and I think it's not worth playing.

It will most likely return one day as a remaster, but for now it's being swept under the rug.

(+1)

Great game! Loved the characters and story! I messed up the ending like a dummy face, but had the pleasure of playing through again. The world needs more games like this 10/10.
(+2)

Why, thank you!

Your kind comment is so very appreciated, and thank you for playing.  :)

It's good to hear that you've enjoyed the game.

Thanks for playing.  :)

(+1)

such a cool game! I love the feel of your games. Don't ever change the graphics, or the boobs of it all lol. For any new games you make I mean. Which I hope you will continue to make games like this! ;)

It's good to hear you've enjoyed the game, thanks for playing!  :)

There are definitely more projects that I have planned for the future, and I'll make sure to do the best that I can.

(+3)

i love your thickness choices 🥰👍

we need fanart...

(+1)

Thank you! I'm glad you appreciate the artistic choice.  :)

(+1)

GET THIS MAN/GIRL AN COMPENEY NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! aslo cant play :[

With these games being PC only, potential players like yourself are left in the dark. My apologies, but it just can't be helped right now.

But I appreciate you showing up and giving your support despite not being able to play, thank you!  :)

(1 edit) (+1)

First of all, why the thiccness

Second of all: I really like this game! It's very wholesome and a bit challenging, I really enjoyed that it had an happy ending and the dynamic between Maude and Sam is very cute! Really enjoyed playing this game!

I bet you could make a fun open world game too

(+1)

First, it's an artistic choice.  :)

Second, thank you so much! I'm very glad that you like the game, it's always amazing to hear that.

Your kind words are very appreciated, and I'll be doing my best to continue onward and improve.  :)

it would be cool if you made a open world game and the player can visit the places that you have been at in the other games and it would ask you 'would you like to play this memory?' and you get a option like yes and no and the your main goal of the game is to stop the monster from even going near the place in the first place you still have to play as the other characters to hide them but you play as your main character and if you take to long a demon will try and kill you or the other characters anyways can't wait to see what else you make and also can't wait to play this

(+2)

With ideas like these, maybe you should be the one developing games instead of me, hmm?  ;)

I don't know how to code yet.... but I want to work on and make games even help others with ideas or something if you ever wanted to make a game with me all you need to do is ask

if you ever want to work on a game to together just ask :) also i'm not good at coding but I can come up with the ideas story and characters (well not all of them)

(+1)

Just downloaded, I have not played it yet but i am here because of @FusionZGamer and this game looks sick! I can tell work was put into this, and it came out nice too

Same. :)

Same bro.

Thank you so much!  :)

I appreciate your kind words on the game, and I hope you enjoy playing it.

(+1)

I will enjoy it, as always, your games are great!

(+1)

I loved the man from the window

That's always great to hear!

Again, thanks for playing.  :)

(+1)

No problem! Your games are great and deserve more attention in the horror community.

I always like a good horror game that doesn't rely on jumpscares. However, I do believe you should make a game that has jumpscares and tries to terrify players.

I don't know, just a suggestion, you dont have to because your games are all great the way they are. Just something to think about.

(+2)

I absolutely loved this game! it was a little hard to learn but other than that loved it, and I got the cool 2 STAR ENDING! Cant wait for your next game, ill be the first one to play!

Thank you very much.  :)

It's so very nice to hear this, I really appreciate it.

(+1)

Good game and good mechanics. Really enjoyed it.

(+1)

Thank you!  :)

Good to hear you've enjoyed it, and thanks for playing, as well.

(+1)

Love the game. Your work is so good. I happy you popular now.

(+1)

Thank you so much, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!  :)

(+1)

I love how you made another one of these type of games with the talking animals... I think you should make these short horror games with the talking animals into a series of games! :)

Rest assured, there are more projects in store for the future.  :)

(+1)

Cool, keep up the good work! :)

(+1)

I just completed The Bit More Know although the ending wasn't at all what I expected. It was a really cool game though and for now all I need to do is play The Bit More Know 2 which I'm excited to do just that.

By the way you did a great job on reusing the Hunter Model and giving him a new and unique identity under the name of Shadowcatcher.

Thanks for taking the time to go back and play my older projects, I appreciate it.  :)

They aren't really up to my standards anymore, but if you can manage to enjoy them still, then good on you!

(+1)

Thanks it was a bit hard to complete the game without losing any car parts or children but I managed to do it anyway. Mainly because I didn't want to think of what would happen if only one went home and the others went missing.

I don't know why you made The Bit More Know 1 private but I still have it from before that time came and I respect your choice for doing so.

After getting to play The Bit More Know 2 I'll be hyped to see what you're cooking up next and willing to pay whatever it takes to play it.

(1 edit)

You are far too kind, thank you again.  :)

Know that all your very supportive comments are truly appreciated.

Have you thought of making females with big bellies? I'm not saying you don't it's just that it's hard for me to notice them.

I'm hoping one day you'll eventually be able to make HD models like how creators such as the Fur Affinity user called "ChunkerBuns" does.

(2 edits)

I wholeheartedly believe there should be more variance in body types seen.

There are many of my designs yet to be brought to life, so all you need to do is wait.  :)

The next monstrosity has breached yet another! Things have escalated way more than anticipated, from horrors in your own home, to leading horrors to the bankrupt restraint! Following the commands of shadow outsiders, and seeking shelter away from the Shadowcather, will you survive 3 nights in this dark place?

(+4)

These character designs of yours got me actin' unwise

(+1)

Very great game and very lovely characters as well.
Would love to see a full fledge long game but really like what you have for short games too.
So I wish you well with luck and keep doing great work~!

Thank you very much for the kind words regarding the game, they are so very appreciated.  :)

I will continue on, and try to do my best to meet expectations.

Thanks once again!

(+2)

Zed's games are quite simplistic in terms of design and visuals but that's one of the best points of them being honest, i've been a fan since The Man from the Window and since then not only the visuals but the gameplay of both Beware the Shadowcatcher and The Man from the Window gave me the pleasure to play and replay

TLDR: I fucking love this game and it's charm

(+1)

You're too kind, really!  :)

It's an honor to receive such glowing compliments, thank you so much.

And thanks for taking the time and playing both games, I appreciate that as well!

(+1)

very few games could charm me as much as yours do, keep it up >:)

Hey there  Zed! Been following your works for a while now, and you never fail to impress! I'm absolutely blown away at the game. If you ever need any voice acting/voice talent for a future project, I'd absolutely love to help in any way I can!

Thank you for the offer, I'll be sure to keep this in mind.  :)

(+1)

Zed you did it again! Thanks for making this absolute gem of a horror game. I streamed this to my friends on discord and we were having a blast! :D

That's awesome to hear!  :)

Thank you so much for playing, and I'm glad you had fun with your watch party.

(+1)

Very good and creative, especially considering its an indie game. Hope to see more games from you.

Thank you so much for the kind words.  :)

I have more projects on the horizon, so I'll do my best not to disappoint.
