Hey,I saw this game on Markpliyer and then I played and it was quite fun,Great Job! I wanted to ask if you had some type of inspiration, this game remided me a little bit of the short story "Window Next Door" from Junji Ito,just for the title and the fact that there is something creepy knocking on your window wanting to enter your house. Good and fun

(1 edit)

First of all, thank you! Glad to hear you've liked the game.  :)

Secondly, no. While I've definitely heard of Junji Ito before, I've never actually seen or experienced any of their work.

(+1)

good game, I just couldn't beat it

Oh well, at least you tried!

I appreciate you taking the time to try the game out, thanks for playing.  :)

Awesome and great game! I sprinkled in a jump scare to make it scary lol. Great game!

Glad to hear you've liked it.  :)

Thanks for playing!

(+1)

Hey man, nice game! Short and to the point! No jumpscares needed to be scary and funny at the same time.
Here's my gameplay/reaction (it's in spanish) Hope you like it

It's so nice to hear such positive things about this little game, thank you very much!  :)

Also, thank you for playing.

(+1)

Thx for making such a great game. I love the game and its concept and especially the character model ;-).

I hope you make more games like this. Keep it up. :)

(+1)

Thank you!  :)

Good to hear that you've liked the game, and also my design work as well.

I have more projects planned for the future, so hopefully you'll stick around and see.

Yes definitely.

(+1)

Do you plan on making a mobile version?

At some point in the future, hopefully!

Right now I don't know anything about mobile development, and it would potentially take a long time to properly learn.

While I'm certainly not opposed to that, it's not a very wise use of my time right now, as there are too many other things that need to get done first.

I do have to apologize to all the potential players that are left out in the cold due to a lack of other playable platforms, however.

I know that android is easier, while iOS is very difficult for indie devs. For a Google developer account, it's 25 USD and it's permanent, but iOS normally requires a Mac to compile and costs 99 USD a year to keep apps available, and unlike android where you can install APK files from unknown sources, to install IPA files on iOS you need to jailbreak the system. Don't worry as only 1 fourth of the mobile community uses iOS devices, and if they have the money for one, they can probably get an Android too.

WHAT are those TITS?!

A horror game, but it has a THICC RABBIT

Thank you for playing.  :)

(+2)

how do i lock the door on the game The Man From The Window?

(1 edit)

Apologies for the late response!

The confusion is understandable, things weren't very well explained in this game.

First, interact with the keys to pick them up. Then press tab until you're holding the keys. Finally, while holding them, go up to a door and left click it.

Hopefully that helps, let me know if you're still having issues.  :)

:D

:)

please someone help me i dont know how to play this, im on pc and when i install it it takes me to a bunch of files, but i dont know how to open the game through that, pls pls help

Once you've downloaded the ZIP file, you need to right click on the ZIP file and then select "Extract All..."

Follow the prompts, and it should open the newly extracted files.

The game is opened by clicking on the application labeled TheManFromTheWindow, which is usually the third file in the folder by default.

If something still isn't right, just let me know and we'll try to solve it.  :)

(+1)

I figured out another way! thanks though! my way is you go to desktop, make a new folder, then drag the files from the one C: into the folder, then click on where it says the name of the game, then it works perfectly!

(+1)

This game was actually really dope. enjoyed every moment of it great job.

Amazing short experience. I had a few good laughs at mama rabbits character design, especially when she's "hiding" in the bathtub! Good job and well developed game.

(+1)

Hello developer of this game! The game is very cool, very sneaky! I wanted to ask you, will you leak models from the game to the Internet?

(2 edits)

Hello! Glad to hear you like the game.  :)

To answer your question, no, as I don't believe in releasing game assets.

So, regarding any game assets that are out there, I had nothing to do with it.

(+1)

This game was so cool! Before I noticed I was so focused on trying to figure out how to win, I didn't notice the time passing. Simple, but effective, great replay capability, and just overall quite fun. Good Job!

(+1)

Thank you very much for such kind words regarding this little game, thank you!

And of course, thanks for playing.  :)

(+1)

loved the game, a simple reverse escape room kind of, trying to test your brain ( I DONT HAVE THAT). I wanted to get to this game a few weeks ago but whatever i guess :)

I like the game and liked how i had to use my brain to beat the man in the window. It would be better if the game was updated and added new game mechanics and other stuff but right now it's a really good game. 10/10

Thank you very much, glad you've liked the game!

I tend to stay away from updating my already released games with new content, but any improvements that need to be added will be implemented into an eventual sequel.  :)

Jesus, how can mama think she can hide in the bathtub! I bet the Man was laughing his ass off looking at her.
(+1)

All i gotta say is momma be thicc and i loved it

Well said.  :)

Thanks for playing, I appreciate it!

So I played this game and I have to say, it's simplistic but enjoyable. I also did manage to get jumpscared. Only downside, I never saw this man near any window. 9/10 game would recommend

Thank you!

It's so nice to hear you've managed to enjoy the game, and I thank you for playing.  :)

(+2)

Potential solution spoilers ahead, you've been warned !

I liked this game.
The graphics may look simple but there is charm to it, like you're in a cartoon, and I was happy to use my brain to solve the problem of hiding both me and my son from the Man From The Window.

I do have a few things to give feedback upon and while it didn't affect my enjoyment of the game, I feel they are worth noting :
- The only reason why I knew about the inventory and how to use items was because I set the game on fullscreen while going to the options and found the controls there.
- I was stumped for a few attempts trying to figure out what was wrong with what I had done only to realize that the doors that don't seem to have locks can in fact be locked. Basically, a visual inconsistency got me stuck, and adding locks to those doors would fix it.
These are nitpicks however, anyone could succeed using the tried and true bruteforce strategy.

Overall, this was a pleasant experience that reminded me of the Don't Escape games and I'm looking forward to whatever else you have in store.

Thank you, I'm glad you've liked the game!

I definitely agree, a lot of things in this one need improving upon.

All feedback received here is going to be applied going forward to make sure future games are the best they can be.  :)

(+1)

Do you think you will make a sequel? Again this is one of the best indie games ever!

(+1)

Thank you, you're far too kind.

There will 100% be a sequel in the somewhat near future.

I still can't say when, but there's no doubt that there will be one.  :)

(+1)

YES!!!! Can’t wait! Me and my friends have been playing after school!

(+1)

Any chance for HTML support?

The most I can say right now is possibly.

It would be a decent solution to potentially enable more people to be able to have access to these games, so it's definitely on the table.

I'll know more as time goes on.  :)

MASSIVE MELONS

but seriously, great game! :D

(+1)

good game

Thank you!  :)

The title and thumbnail speaks for itself. 10/10 game
(+2)

Thank you very much!

And thanks for playing, as well.  :)

is this game 32-Bit? because my PC only has a 32-bit

what. the. heck. why is your game not 32 BIT?????

please add one that 32-Bit Okay?

I can definitely sympathize with someone who is stuck using an old system, believe me.

Creating a 32-bit compatible version is doable, I'm pretty sure.

You'll have to give me some time, as I'm busy with another project at the moment. I'll certainly look into it, though.

(1 edit)

thank you, my man, you can be the best game Creator that I ever trusted! and how long until you are done with the 32-bit the man from the window?

hope theres another

this is a really fun game

Those voluptuous busems are what make this game a 5/5. Fantastic work.

A 5/5!

You're too kind, thank you!  :)
